Ashley Moder
Teacher/Owner
Ashley has been teaching English since 2010. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business and a Master's degree in Secondary Education ESL, and is licensed to teach in Virginia. She loves working with students from around the world because she gets to learn about many different cultures and be engaged in the international community. In her free time she loves to travel with her husband and children, and especially spend time hiking and camping in the mountains and forests. She is passionate about teaching English, and is excited to introduce the community to Language Academy of Coastal Virginia, and expand the options for high quality language acquisition in Coastal VA.
Erin Charles
Teacher
Erin has been teaching ESL for over 5 years and has a passion for the ESL community. She has a BA in education and holds a VA teaching license with an ESL endorsement. Erin is married and a mother of 2 children: a 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son. Her husband is originally from Haiti and she has had the opportunity to experience the importance of English language learning first hand. She loves the beach, reading and traveling. And she hopes to travel the world one day and explore all the places her students tell her about! She loves teaching and feels blessed to see her students grow not only in English but with confidence in themselves as well. She knows that ESL teaching is her calling and will go above and beyond to help her students succeed and improve!
Ana Johnson
Teacher
Ana was born in Mexico City but has been living in Virginia Beach for the last 25 years. She has a degree in teaching English as a Foreign Language and has taught English for 16 years. She has also taught Spanish in schools, from Kindergarteners to college level, and has tutored in Spanish to all age levels. Ana loves teaching both English and Spanish, and enjoys traveling and meeting new people.
